Ivory $uit

We shot this gorgeous ivory suit in downtown Los Angeles, on South Broadway Street where it's always busy for a gritty city feel. I am always impressed by everything downtown LA has to offer in terms of structures, and landscapes. There were two fantastic locations we chose to shoot within the same block to capture a bit of movement and style variation.

In our second location and it's slight garden feel, I loved the idea of owning a crisp ivory suit inside this setting. We caught some lovely portraits that easily could have been a whole other shoot had I brought more outfits along for the adventure.

I absolutely love styling minimalistic themes and selecting pieces that juxtapose hard and soft elements. It's either smooth textures against grit, or layering textures that are opposite to each other.

With minimalism in mind, the idea was: monochrome and fluid. The gold chain on the handbag was a focal point to keep the look purely minimal. I wanted to highlight the essentials of how to wear classic suiting, but make it my own. The bralette underneath a suit is a legendary 2021 theme, but also quite practical for LA mid-summer heat. Balance is truly key.

With my professional background in fashion styling, I am forever looking at new ways to style on-trend concepts from a creative standpoint, in a fresh way that speaks to my audience and illustrates my talents.

Shooting with creatives is always a thrilling process, as I get to learn about what their vision is and how to emote and bring that story to life. Working with new talent is an exciting piece of the puzzle, as building a team is equally a part of the story and framework of the final product. Every person plays their part to create beautiful visuals.

I truly enjoy shooting with Yoshii as she is great at directing and has a brilliant eye for framing.

As a multi-faceted talent I love to create, and express myself and be received as both a subject and an artist. It's always wonderful to work with fresh talent that is eager to learn and grow and brings value to a conceptual project. Street style blogging is focal point I've tip-toed around for years, and with the birth of fashionopoly, I've been waiting to unleash my vision for quite some time.

It's an exciting time as a brand to be in the midst of growth and to see your work impact begin to land. Keep on the lookout for upcoming shoots with new creative talent in the next quarter. There is a ton of excitement brewing.
