As women, we sometimes forget how vital it is to document the particular pivotal growth points in our lives. I am urging you to stop it right now. Being a late bloomer to Motherhood, and owning my inner strength as a mixed race woman with a rich history in journalism and fashion styling, it was truly important to begin this new blog journey.

Fun fact you might not believe. I purchased fashionopoly domain while four months pregnant with this entire vision in my head about how I would launch before my daughter arrived. Fast forward to now, it's a guiding reminder that the ideas we plant in our minds often times aren't designed to move according to our plan for our lives. I am a firm believer that nothing happens before it's time.

With that said, this photo is one of many that mark an incredibly resilient time in my life where I pushed myself beyond my limitations. I am incredibly proud of this collaborative work and shared community of artists so wiling to lend pieces for a project that went a completely different direction. Like I said, some things are built before it's time, but nothing will transpire until it's truly ready. I honor the delays and trust in the timing of the Universe.

This dress, this sparkle, the beadwork, the details, the sweetheart neckline, the lace, the beaded collar, and the woven beaded gloves truly set it off for me. Imagine this, I am six months pregnant, halfway to the finish line of my labor and starting a whole new life chapter. Words do little to explain how much this photo means to me. This is such a stunning reminder of the beauty that women truly do carry from the inside out.
