$he Did That

I’ve been holding onto this set of images in my photo gallery for quite some time. Adapting to mommyhood and adjusting to new ways of doing things that used to come so effortless. It's been a gradual process finding my rhythm back into the world of fashion, styling and blogging, but with a different approach this time.

As a self-proclaimed fashion journalist with an itch to share my story, there is nothing shy of realness you'll find written here. These hot mama maternity photos don't look anything like the atypical. I was twenty-three weeks along my first and only pregnancy journey with a heart full of passion, and a garment rack overflowing with sample sized clothing not intended for this. How I squeezed my thighs into these threads was simple. A nutrient dense plant based diet kept me both energized and tiny enough to still wear model sample clothes at five months pregnant.

A little mama to be, a lot of sexy, dewy skin and a bright glow that I miss incredibly. This series is one I'll share proudly with my baby girl when she's old enough to appreciate knowing she was right here with me. A few afterthoughts. Although this project was intended as a fashion submission for a magazine, life had a way of handing us a different path and that's okay too. Some things are merely preparation for what's to come.

As a fashion entrepreneur, with an entire vision built around teaching you ways to grow your business in fashion, these posts (written from back to front) are merely windows into my story. Sometimes the narrative you build has to start from the beginning.

Extending huge gratitude to the showrooms and designers that showed up for this collaboration.
